Creating an Album
This page describes the album editor (Add New Album / Edit Album). Click Add New on the All Albums page to create an album; clicking the edit button of a list row opens the same editor for an existing album.
Page Layout
The editor is divided into two columns:
- Left column (content) — Title, Summary, Content Text, Photo List, SEO Settings and Sitemap Settings.
- Right column (settings) — Publish options, Album Author, Categories, Tags and Album Cover.
Each panel has a collapse toggle on the right of its title bar, so you can fold away the panels you don't need.
Basic Information
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Title | The album title. Required, up to 250 characters |
| Summary | A short introduction shown on the album list page, up to 500 characters |
| Content Text | The main content of the album, shown on the album detail page |
Content Text uses the CKEditor rich text editor with source mode, tables, images, hyperlinks, media and other common formatting features. The toolbar also includes two module-specific buttons:
- Select media file — insert a file from the module's media library into the content.
- Video — insert a video.
Managing Photos (Photo List)
Save the album before adding photos
The Photo List panel shows the hint "Please save the album first and then add photos." When editing a new album, click Publish (or Save Draft) in the right column first; once the album is saved you can add and manage photos in this panel.
Photos are managed in a list. Each row contains:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| ID | Photo number |
| Images | Photo thumbnail |
| Title & Description | An inline title input and description textarea that can be edited directly |
| Size | File size |
| Action | Per-photo action buttons |
Common operations:
- Add photos — pick/upload photos in the "Set photo images" dialog; multiple photos can be added at once.
- Rename / edit description — edit inline; a Save button appears on the row, which saves that photo individually.
- Remove a photo — click Remove and confirm "Are you sure you want to delete this item?".
- Reorder — drag a photo row to change its display order. The new order is saved automatically right after the drag — no extra save button needed.
SEO Settings
The SEO Settings panel below the editor configures search engine information per album (each field accepts up to 500 characters):
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Friendly Urls | The friendly URL alias of this album, used together with the module-level Friendly URL settings |
| SEO Title | The page title of the album |
| SEO Keywords | The keywords of the album |
| SEO Description | The description of the album |
The Sitemap Settings panel below it configures sitemap parameters for the individual album:
- Sitemap Priority — priority (0 ~ 1, default 0.5).
- Sitemap Changefreq — change frequency: always / hourly / daily (default) / weekly / monthly / yearly.
Publishing (Publish)
The Publish panel in the right column works like the publish box in WordPress:
Save Draft — save the album as a draft.
Status — click [Edit] to expand and choose:
Status Description Draft Draft Published Published (default) Pending Pending review Locked Locked RecycleBin Recycle bin Publish (publish time) — Immediately by default; click [Edit] to pick a future date and time for scheduled publishing.
Disable (expiry time) — None by default; click [Edit] to set an expiry time, after which the album is automatically taken offline on the front end (this is the DisableTime column in the album list).
Action buttons at the bottom of the panel:
| Button | Description |
|---|---|
| Move to Trash | Move the album to the recycle bin (restore or permanently delete it in the Recycle Bin view of the album list) |
| Publish | Save and publish the album with the settings above |
| Cancel | Cancel editing and return to the list |
Album Author
The panel shows the avatar and username of the current author. Click Set Album Author to pick another user as the author in a dialog (the selected user must belong to an author role configured in the General Settings).
Categories and Tags
- Categories — a checkbox list of all categories in the module; check one or more for the album. The "Add new category" link jumps to Categories to create a category (unsaved changes are lost when you leave — you'll be asked to confirm first).
- Tags — type a tag and press Enter to add it (shown as tag chips); separate multiple tags with commas; click the × on a chip to remove it.
Album Cover
Click Set Album Cover and pick a cover image in the dialog; the selected cover is shown as a preview. The cover is displayed on the album list page; click Delete to remove it.
