Effect Options

After an effect is applied, the Effect Options page (called Options in the management menu) configures the data source and the effect parameters. The page has three panels, with Update / Cancel buttons at the bottom.

General Settings

  • Theme Name — dropdown to choose a theme of this effect; a preview image is shown below after selecting.

DataList Settings

OptionDescription
Display numberNumber of items to display (0 ~ 1000); 0 shows all
DataList TypeData type: Album list (albums from the main module) or Photo list (photos from specified albums); the options below change accordingly
Choose CategoriesShown in Album list mode: filter the albums to display by category
Choose AlbumShown in Photo list mode: a multi-select list box to choose the source albums (hold Ctrl for multiple selection; All Albums is the default)
SequenceOrdering: Latest (by publish time), Hottest Comments (by comment count), Hottest View (by view count)

Basic Options (effect parameters, vary by effect)

Each effect has its own parameter panel. Taking Effect_01_Gallery (gallery) as the example, the main parameters are:

Auto PlayWhether to autoplay (required for slideshows)
Auto Play IntervalAutoplay interval in milliseconds (default 3000)
Pause On HoverPause behavior on hover: 0 none / 1 desktop / 2 touch / 3 both / 4, 8, 12 the corresponding freeze modes, default 1
Play OrientationPlay direction: 1 horizontal / 2 vertical / 5 reverse horizontal / 6 reverse vertical, default 1
Drag OrientationDrag direction: 0 disabled / 1 horizontal / 2 vertical / 3 any, default 1
Slide DurationSlide duration in milliseconds (default 500)
Slide Show TransitionsSlide transitions, grouped by series such as Twins / Fade / Swing Outside / Swing Inside / Dodge Dance — hundreds of combinations available

Parameters of the carousel effects (infinite loop, arrows, dot indicators, responsive breakpoints, etc.) work the same as described in the main module's Effects → Effect Options.
