All Comments

Manage xBlog comments in the All Comments interface. The Comment settings button in the top right opens the Comment Settings page.

Status Filter

The top of the page is a status button group with counts:

AllAll comments
ApprovedComments visible on the front end
PendingComments awaiting administrator review
SpamComments marked as spam

The search box on the right searches comments by keyword.

Comment List

ColumnDescription
CommentComment content, with a link to the article title below (opens the article editor)
ReviewerCommenter's name and email
CreateTimeWhen the comment was submitted
StatusApproved / Pending / Spam
ActionRemove

Column headers are clickable to sort.

Bulk Actions

Check one or more comments (the header checkbox selects the page), then use the Bulk Actions dropdown and click Apply:

  • Approved — approve in bulk
  • Pending — set to pending in bulk
  • Spam — mark as spam in bulk
  • Delete — delete in bulk

Comment Settings

The Comment settings page configures the following:

  • Enable Comment — turn comments on or off
  • Require login to comment — require login before commenting
  • Enable Comment Notification — email notification for new comments
  • Number of Comments per page — comments per page
  • Comment Initial State — initial status of new comments (Pending / Approved / Spam / Recycle)
  • Comment Service — switch between the xBlog built-in comments and Disqus

Using Disqus

You can also use the comment hosting service provided by Disqus and switch freely between built-in and Disqus comments.
