Data Filter
The Data Filter panel controls which items the module shows on the front end and in what order. Combined with per-item time fields it also enables scheduled publishing.
Settings
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Sort by | Sorting mode — see the table below |
| Filter Start Time | Use Start Time as a filter condition (checked by default) |
| Filter End Time | Use End Time (Disable Time) as a filter condition (checked by default) |
Sort by options
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Default | The manual order set in All Items |
| Random | Random order on every load |
| Start Time ASC / DESC | By start time ascending / descending (recommended for Timeline, History) |
| Title ASC / DESC | By title ascending / descending |
Scheduled Publishing
When adding an item, the Publish panel on the right sets a Start time and a Disable time (shown as Disable Time in the list):
- Scheduled go-live: pick a date/time for Start (instead of Immediately) and check Filter Start Time in Data Filter — the item appears when due;
- Scheduled expiry: set a Disable time (instead of None) and check Filter End Time — the item hides when expired.
Typical scenarios: expiring campaign banners, pricing tables going live on schedule, countdown pages switching automatically after the event.
TIP
Both filter switches are global — they apply to every item of the module. Items without a time set still display normally (an empty time never filters an item out).
Combined with Sharing
When the module references another module's data via Data Source Sharing, Data Filter still applies locally — two modules can share one dataset yet display different subsets with different sorting.
