Image Compression
The Media Library panel (in General → General) controls automatic compression of images uploaded through the media library — smaller files, faster pages.
Settings
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Enable Compression | Enable upload compression — library uploads are compressed using the quality setting |
| Compression Quality | Quality (integer 0–100), default 90. Higher = better quality and larger files; 80–90 usually balances both |
How to Use
- Open General → General and expand the Media Library panel;
- Check Enable Compression;
- Adjust Compression Quality if needed (default 90);
- Click Update.
TIP
- Compression only affects images uploaded after enabling it — existing files are untouched;
- External images referenced by URL are never compressed;
- For quality-critical content (e.g. photography) disable compression or use a quality above 90.
