Image Compression

The Media Library panel (in General → General) controls automatic compression of images uploaded through the media library — smaller files, faster pages.

Settings

SettingDescription
Enable CompressionEnable upload compression — library uploads are compressed using the quality setting
Compression QualityQuality (integer 0–100), default 90. Higher = better quality and larger files; 80–90 usually balances both

How to Use

  1. Open General → General and expand the Media Library panel;
  2. Check Enable Compression;
  3. Adjust Compression Quality if needed (default 90);
  4. Click Update.

TIP

  • Compression only affects images uploaded after enabling it — existing files are untouched;
  • External images referenced by URL are never compressed;
  • For quality-critical content (e.g. photography) disable compression or use a quality above 90.
