This page documents each release of the DNG-Theme-Pro theme. We recommend reviewing it after each upgrade to learn about new features and improvements.
Update policy
Updates are free for two years from the date of purchase and are published through the store (dnngo.net) — watch the store notifications or check the email used at purchase. After two years, the theme must be purchased again to keep receiving new versions.

Theme
- Updated the login / register button styles: primary and secondary buttons now use the DNN color variables (
--dnn-color-primary/--dnn-color-secondary) and include hover states - Fixed misaligned labels in the mobile login form
- Login page links are now white to match the login background
ThemePlugin Pro (05.02.02 → 05.03.00)
- Security update: improved protection for layout editing and file uploads (applies to users with module edit permission). We recommend all sites upgrade to this version.
- Stability improvement: added size and dimension limits to public image services, reducing CPU and disk usage under heavy load.
- Fixed an issue where page content failed to display correctly in some cases
- Improved the stability of the image insertion feature
- Fixed link navigation and unexpected redirects after copying and saving; optimized the edit link for layouts

- No functional changes to the theme source code (version number update)
ThemePlugin Pro (05.02.01 → 05.02.02)
- Security update: fixes database query security issues (only users with module edit permission are affected) and upgrades the image processing library.
- Fixed an issue where pages failed to open because certain parameters were filtered out
- Improved the logic so pages refresh promptly after settings are updated
- Improved the layout editing feature

- Upgraded Bootstrap to v5.1.3 and fixed the conflicts the upgrade introduced (modals, anchor navigation, back-to-top, admin styles and more)
- Header colors are now CSS variables, easy to re-theme from Theme Options

- Added the Header language switcher (languageBox)
- Added the Twitter X / Threads icons (fa.fa-twitter-x, fa.fa-threads)
- New font styles are now loaded from theme.css
- The loading animation now times out after 3 seconds so pages never stay blank
- Fixed mobile issues with the mobile menu and mobile offset detection

Upgrade Guide
When upgrading DNG-Theme-Pro, we recommend following these steps:
- Back up your website: fully back up the site files and the database so you can recover quickly if anything goes wrong
- Back up custom code: if you have modified theme or module code files, back up those changes separately so the upgrade does not overwrite them
- Reinstall the theme and modules: follow the Installation guide to upload and install the latest theme package and each module; when finished, visit the front end to confirm pages render correctly
- Update the ContentBuilder resources: via FTP, overwrite
Portals/_default/ContentBuilderwith the folder from the new package
Older Versions
Release notes for versions prior to v5.0.0 have not been individually compiled. To learn about the changes in a specific version, contact [email protected].
