The Export & Import feature migrates data between xBlog instances or from other blog systems.

Two Data Formats

xBlog proprietary format — exports the full content, but only works between xBlog instances
BlogML — better compatibility with other programs, but cannot carry all xBlog data

The current version supports importing:

xBlog proprietary export files
BlogML
Wordpress XML
NewsArticle Module XML

Use Cases

Site migration — move articles from an old site to a new one
Environment sync — copy articles from a development site to production
Domain change — export, then import on the new site
